On June 29, 2021, the National Telecommunications Agency – ANATEL published Act No. 5701, which deals with the inclusion of item IV in item 5.2.1 to Act No. 4088/2020, which will come into force with the following wording.
Below we inform the item included in item IV of item 5.2.1:
5.2.1. In the case of imported telecommunications products, the identification of the approval must be carried out before the product enters the country, except in the following cases:
“IV – Products intended for medical applications, subject to approval by Anatel, and covered by ANVISA (National Health Surveillance Agency) legislation.”
