Craft 233/21 | ANATEL extends deadline for maintenance without testing

ANATEL published Letter No. 233 on November 26, 2021 informing the extension of maintenance without testing until July 31, 2022.

Considering the permanence of the state of public health of international concern, resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19), the deadline established in Office no. 233/2021/ORCN/SOR-ANATEL is extended to July 31, 2022.

  • It is authorized to carry out the maintenance activity of the Certification only with the presentation of the declarations applied to the maintenance period
    • The submission of test reports and any other documents shall be waived.
    • The exemption in question shall be made upon presentation of the declaration of the applicant for the cervification, informing the difficulty of having those documents due to the pandemic.
  • The extraordinary exception for maintaining the certification applies only to products whose validity period of the OCD Certificate of Conformity expires by 31 July 2022.

The exemption from the submission of the test report shall not apply to
products which failed during the performance of the tests in the last conformity assessment.

It is exceptionally authorised to carry out remote audits by the OCDs in manufacturing units and testing laboratories, in the sub-instruction of face-to-face audits, as well as the remote monitoring of laboratory tests that are not third party accredited or evaluated.
